Wow! What a wonderfully busy week, but it's nice to finally get the chance to catch my breath.
Starting out with my visit to The Laughing Pony Rescue (www.laughingponyrescue.com) to photograph Celia's herd. We got some really nice shots and the team there selected a photo of Bonnie/Tutu as my donation the "friend-raiser" that is being hosted for them next week. (It's posted below)
On Wednesday I launched my Kickstarter campaign to help fund my first public exhibit. A busy couple of days spreading the word and getting a quick education in PR. I've got 29 days left to reach my goal and I'm determined that it can be done with the help of my network. I tapped my talented friend, Susan Tull, to author a press release, and PR whiz Skyler McCurine for some guidance on getting some media attention. I'll get back to work on that after a weekend of more photography.
Thursday night I was at the barn where I ride to photograph three new OTTBs that are in training with my friend, Emily Ruocco. Ruocco Equestrian Training has been taking thoroughbreds from the track, retraining and rehoming them since 2005. Emily has a true gift for understanding and working with horses and their owners. If you are in the market for a new horse, or an excellent trainer for you and your horse, get in touch with her. www.ruoccoequestriantraining.com
